December was a little crazy... :) Good Crazy!

Disneyland
Grama Jean and Papa treated us to 2 days at Disneyland and California Adventure for our birthday/Christmas gifts this year! We made it a 3 day trip and went down on Sunday for some shopping at Downtown Disney and dinner at The Rainforest Cafe. We spent all day Monday at California Adventure and Tuesday at Disneyland.
Everyone had a great time and we were so proud of the kids for trying all kinds of new rides. I think the big winners were the Swings and Ethan really liked Goofy's Sky School. Least favorite was Indiana Jones :(.

Jadyn's Winter Dance Recital / Family Pictures
Sunday, December 8th was Jadyn's Winter Dance Recital at Hart High. She did great and always has such a good time. After the recital we all went back to the house for lunch from Wood Ranch and family pictures. It was a little cold outside :)

Open House
Sunday, November 15th we had our Open House. It was great to see ALL 57 of you! Thank you for all the house warming gifts! They were truly not necessary but much appreciated.
I intended to take pictures but, I don't think I sat down until 5pm so I never got around to it :(

Jegel Christmas Party
Saturday, December 21st was the annual Jegel Family Christmas Party at Grama Jean and Papa's. Lots of fun and good to see everyone! We were especially proud of our "mini-Carl" White Elephant Gift.

Christmas Eve
We had Christmas Eve at our house with Grama Jean, Papa and Uncle Kurt. Erik baked brisket and we made ice cream sundaes for dessert, yummy :) We went to the 11 pm service at First Christian of North Hollywood and got home about 1:30 am. I'm not sure how Ethan got up at 7:15 am Christmas morning!

Merry Christmas!
The kids got a bedroom and a loft for Christmas this year but, Santa managed to get them a few small things and a Wii U. We had breakfast at home, chocolate chip pancakes, sausage, bacon, eggs and hot chocolate before heading to Grama Honey and Bubba's. Aunt Angie, Kenny, Karen and Tommy joined us this year.

Happy 6th Birthday Jadyn!
41 lbs and 46" tall
Jadyn turned 6 on December 27th. It's so hard to believe that we used to worry that she didn't have a personality. It was nearly impossible to get her to laugh when she was a baby but, not now! She's a snugly, sweet, funny, little firecracker who loves everything girlie! She's into Hello Kitty, My Little Ponies, Princesses, Minnie Mouse and just about anything pink! As Erik says "way more girlie than anything I thought would ever come out of you!"
Per Jadyn's request we had a spaghetti dinner and Hello Kitty Cake at our house with the family the day of her birthday.
Sunday, December 29th Jadyn, Grama Jean and I went to The American Girl Store at The Grove to get Jadyn's American Girl Doll (birthday gift from Grama Jean and Papa). Jadyn named her doll Kalee. Grama Jean made the doll Hello Kitty PJ's and a Minnie dress like Jadyn's Halloween costume :) We also had lunch at the American Girl Cafe, what a treat!

Happy New Year!
Last party of the year! The Leclair's, Vernon's and munchkins from the Serrano clan joined us to ring in the New Year. Pizza, tag, balloon fights, cupcakes and the kids called it a night about 10pm. We stayed up and played a game of "Ticket to Ride" (Leah won!) We made it to midnight but not much longer... Looking forward to a year with no moving!
