February 14'

Happy Valentine's Day
On February 13th I made the kids heart shaped, sprinkle and chocolate chip pancakes and they took their Valentine's to school. They made a few special Valentine's... Ethan's were all Minecraft and Jadyn's were a mess of hearts, rainbows and funny little people. I think my favorite was Ethan's to Uncle Kurt. It had a creeper (Minecraft character) on the front and said "Don't make me blow you up on Valentine's Day" :)
Jadyn had her kindergarten LOVE program. She had a bit of a runny nose and was nervous so she looked miserable through the whole program but it was cute none the less :) She was all smiles after getting all her Valentine's from class and seeing us at pick-up time.
Erik and I celebrated a day early while Grama Honey and Bubba watched the kids. I got to have a long awaited facial, Erik made dinner and we enjoyed my Valentine's Day gift from E (brownies from Big Island Candies).

After Jadyn's LOVE Program
Jadyn's 100th day of school project: 100 Acorns

Bike n' Bowl Adventure
Sunday, February 16th we rode our bikes to Santa Clarita Lanes. I had no idea everyone who doesn't go to church goes bowling on Sunday mornings! Ethan rode his bike the whole 6 mile round trip. Jadyn made it a few miles here and there but, it's tough when you have such a tiny bike and take a spill on the way home :( The kids never want to leave the house (mostly Ethan) but they were VERY excited to go bowling and had a great time. I also wanted to mention that I beat Erik and Jadyn bowled a 94 and beat Ethan! Granted it was bumper bowling but a win is a win :)

Backyard
Erik continued working on the sprinkler system. He has been working on the drainage, front and side yard since we moved in. It's been a big job to say the least. He's out working on it for several hours every weekend. He took Monday, February 17th off and with the help of our friend Patrick, Roland (Patrick's dad) and a trencher he got the ditches dug for the sprinklers. He managed to get them all covered and running before the rain started.

Ninja Night
Ethan was invited to Ninja Night with his best buddy, Cade. He wasn't looking forward to it until he found out there was going to be pizza and dodge ball :) They spent the night at the dojo where Cade takes martial arts classes and had a great time.

Date Night
Date nights all around! I took Ethan to see the Lego Movie with our friends Angee and Ethan L. Ethan chose Subway for dinner and we went to Golden Spoon after the movie. I think the best part was listening to the only two 9 year old boys in the theater laugh their heads off :)
Since Ethan and I were out Erik and Jadyn had their own date night. She picked Wendy's for dinner and they watched Barbie: Magic of the Rainbow (Erik's favorite:).
Friday, February 21st while Ethan was at Ninja Night and Erik was at Game Night with the guys Jadyn and I had "Cozy Movie Night" at home. We ate spaghetti (Jadyn's favorite) and watched Barbie's Thumbelina.
