December 17'

Holiday Home Tour
Saturday, December 2nd Honey, Grama Jean, Jadyn and I attended the Henry Mayo Holiday Home Tour. This was Jadyn's first year! You are supposed to be at least 12 but we thought she could pass since she's tall and quiet :) We had lunch at Lilly's Cafe on Lyons before visiting the 3 homes this year (2 in Sand Canyon and 1 in Southern Oak/Stevenson Ranch). They we all different but done really well this year!

1st Sand Canyon House.
Beautiful vaulted wood ceilings, pool and mother-in-law house.
 2nd Sand Canyon House.
They had horses, chickens and music studio barn!
 Stevenson Ranch/Southern Oaks

Dodger Day
Saturday, December 2nd while the girls were at the Home Tour the boys went to Dodger Stadium for the Season Ticket Holders Event. They did the tour, ate Dodger Dogs and Ethan played catch with Uncle Kurt in the outfield.

LA Auto Show
Monday, December 4th Bubba and I ditched the kids this year and went to the car show alone! Don't get me wrong I love making the kids climb into trunks to take pictures but they usually get bored after the first showroom :)
 Checking out the Audi's
Acura NSX. One of my favorites this year
Philippe's in LA. We tried a pink pickled egg. Interesting...

California Adventure / Disneyland
Sunday, December 10th the Jegel Clan (Grama Jean, Papa, Uncle Kurt and the 4 of us) drove down to Anaheim and had dinner at the Rain Forest Cafe in Downtown Disney to start our "Disney Days." We wandered a bit after dinner and checked-in at The Grand Legacy Hotel (not so "grand" this time around) across the street to get a good night's sleep before California Adventure in the morning.
 Erik's Safari before dinner :)
They do love a good Stitch!

Monday, December 11th we did California Adventure.
Months ago I told Ethan that if he went with me I would go on Screamin'. I didn't think he would volunteer so quickly, did I mention I am terrified of roller coasters that make your stomach drop!
Jadyn opted out of Screamin' but did Guardians of the Galaxy (AKA Tower of Terror)!
I REALLY considered not sitting down in the seat but we survived!
Ethan liked it better than I did but neither of us was ready to jump back on :)
Jadyn was a little nervous on the Farris Wheel
So cute on the carousel ;)
The famous caterpillar ride

Tuesday, December 12th was Disneyland!
The lines at both parks were pretty short. The longest we waited was for Peter Pan (30 minutes)! Ethan got his 500th light saber (Yoda) and Jadyn got a Porg (Star Wars animal) that she named Hop.
1st ride of the day, Space Mountain!
Jadyn was hiding behind Erik :)
Everyone's favorite "rest ride", Small World
Ethan wanted a real sword from the weaponry on Tom Sawyer Island :)
I ran into Sonia (KB Sales Manager) just before we left

Christmas Light Tour
Monday, December 18th we did our annual Christmas Light Tour to Candy Cane Lane, Angelica Place and Deodor Court. Lillian and Addie joined us this year! The kids had an awful time ;)

Minions and matching Christmas PJ's
Hey Ethan, what's so funny?!

Universal Studios
Tuesday, December 19th Erik took a half day and we spent a few hours at Universal checking out Grinchmas, Harry Potter World and riding a few of our favorites (Flight of the Hippogriff) before having dinner at Tony Roma's in City Walk.

Who-ville Christmas Tree Lighting          Harry Potter World Castle Light Show

Star Wars: The Last Jedi
Thursday, December 21st we saw the new Star Wars movie with the whole gang (Papa, Grama, Jean, Bubba, Honey, Uncle Kurt and our posse). It got a thumbs up from everyone :)

Jegel Christmas Party
Saturday, December 23rd was the annual Jegel Christmas Party. It was a slightly smaller crowd this year due to a rough flu season and it being so close to Christmas.
Honey and Olivia got some great hats
Chloe, Scott and Heather got some sticker? :)

Christmas Eve
Erik started feeling a little better and was able to make it to brunch at Grama Jean and Papa's. Brunch was very yummy, of course. Alexa and Olivia opened gifts, the girls played and the boys played Wii for the morning before we headed home to start dinner.

Grama Jean, Papa and Uncle Kurt joined us for a round of Headbands, Erik smoked brisket and we watched Elf while the kids put together some of their new Lego's. Everyone was wiped out from all the parties and Erik wasn't feeling great so we skipped the 11pm service at church this year.
Slowest / longest round of Headbands I've ever seen! :)
 Gift time!
Jadyn's Porg from Uncle Kurt in an American Girl dress from Grama Jean and Papa :)

Sick Season
Erik started feeling sick Wednesday night so he barely made it through seeing the movie. It got worse the next morning when he "blacked out" (eyes-open, not responding to anything) the next morning. That earned him a 911 call, a trip to Urgent Care and 2 IV bags of fluid to find out he had the flu and was VERY dehydrated. Almost landed me in the hospital with a heart attack! ;)
Jadyn started with a fever on Christmas morning and after a few days of resting she was getting better but we were worried she wouldn't be better in time for her birthday party :(.
After Jadyn, Jean and Carl got the bug and when I picked the kids up Friday night Ethan had started with a fever the day before!

Christmas Day
Santa brought the kids a TRAMPOLINE! ) We (mostly Erik and Ethan) got it put together in time to get in a few bounces before heading to Grama Honey and Bubba's. I think we like it almost as much as the kids do :)

Favorite Emoji's from Granpa Texas and Kathy
They love getting clothes ;P
 Who's gonna clean that up?!
 Working hard :)
Opening presents and breakfast wiped this poor sick little girl out :(
 Let's Jump!

Honey and Bubba's... Bumper Bubbles, food, Laser Tag, food, Old Video's of Jare lip syncing, food, Archery, food and yapping. That about sums it up.
Aunt Angie, Jean, Carl, Kurt and the Stotts clan were all in attendance this year. Kenny and Karen even stopped by on the way back from Vegas to pick up Aunt Angie.
Ethan finally got the bow and arrows he's been asking for... For months!
Bubble Balls!

Jadyn's 10th Birthday
55 1/2" and 63 lbs. Tall n' skinny
Happy Birthday to our "adorable" (she says everything is adorable, not cute), silly, happy, smart, beautiful, blue-eyed little girl. She's into the Pusheen cat, kittens, rainbows, unicorns, playing with her friends and the color turquoise.
The parties started on Wednesday, December 27th with her chocolate chip "10" pancakes and dinner at Honey and Bubba's house, Jadyn requested stew.
"10" birthday pancake. She only finished the "1" :)
A glazed donut with mint n' chip ice cream

The celebration continued on Sunday, December 31st with party at Scooter's Jungle...
Matthew, Caedmon, Ryan, Ben,Addie, Lillian, Jadyn,
Marissa, Reese, Olivia, Alexa, Levi, Ethan and Ethan L
The adults played as hard as the kids did,
we just hurt more the next day :)
Jadyn's birthday gifts from her friends and family, Pusheen Cat everything!

New Years Eve
Plans changed a few times with everyone still getting over being sick but the kids spent the night at Dave and PJ's with 9 of their friends (Caedmon, Levi, Ben, Lillian, Addie, Ryan, Oren, Aurora and Emmitt)! They had pizza, chocolate fondue, and stayed up past midnight! They had an awesome time and were TIRED the next day.
The "up until midnight (and past) gang"

Erik and I rang in the New Year playing Sequence and Sushi Go with Patrick, Leah, Chris and Katrina at the Leclair house.
The "barely made it to midnight gang" :)
