Saturday, June 1st was Jadyn's annual recital at Glendale High School. She looked so grown up this year! Her jazz class danced to Candle in the Wind by Ed Sheeran.
Let's Celebrate!
In celebration of Erik's Birthday, Ethan's Tennis season, Jadyn recital and the end of the school year we went to Buca di Peppo for dinner (and dessert). We tried to conquer the Colossal Sundae, it was a valiant effort but couldn't quite pull it off. Ah well, maybe next time! :)

Jadyn received the Teacher's Award. She always looks like she wants to crawl into a hole to hide when she is the center of attention.
Ethan had lunch with Grama Honey for his last Day on June 6th and Jadyn picked "Wafflecomb" for her last day treat.
Don't let him fool you, he's a hugger :)

Yep, you read that right... We decided to name the 2 baby hummingbirds in the front rose bush. Spat and Chula (spatula) won over Luke and Leah, Nebula and Gamora, Rose and Bud etc.

Mandatory "Vacation"
I've always thought we should get a summer vacation as adults, mine came in the form of shingles :) As shingles goes it was a very mild case but I wasn't able to go into the office since I was contagious. To be honest the migraine I got the day before going back was the worst part :(
Anyway, I made the best of my time off and got the guest room done before my dad's July visit.
