Boise, Idaho
Erik and I finished our 9th half marathon in record time! 2 hours 10 minutes and 40 seconds. We had no intention of "running" the whole race but Erik's sore hip did better when we jogged so we pretty much "ran" the whole 13 miles! NEVER AGAIN!
Beautiful, clean trails along the river
So many amazing parks and memorials to explore
Band & Guard Banquet
Saturday, May 4th Jadyn had a fun night out at the Canyon Country Community Center for the Band and Guard banquet, dinner and dancing! THANK YOU to Grama Jean and Papa for getting her and Colleen there while we were in Boise.
Colleen and Jadyn. Let's Party!
Jadyn won "Most Improved"
Maddie, Sienna, Taryn, Colleen, Jadyn, Charlize and Drisana
Hart Spring Concert
Our niece, Lillian performed in her Spring Concert at Hart High. AMAZING show!
Moorpark Baseball
Friday, May 17th I got to see our nephew, Tanner pitch for Moorpark in the Division 2 CIF finals against Hart at Diamond Stadium in Lake Elsinore.
It turned out to be the Best and Worst ending to a game I've ever seen! Moorpark won with a walk-off homerun in the bottom of the 7th only to have it ruled a ground rule double and lost 6-7 :(
Looks like a homerun to me! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8g2r1Ra6RV8
Tanner pitched the last 2 innings and did great
Happy Mother's Day
Mother's Day was nice and quiet. Erik got me a candle, a new breakfast pan and smoked ribs! The kids made me cards and we collected flowers for the grandmothers.
Grama Honey, Jadyn and I celebrated on Friday, May 31st with our annual breakfast and pedicures :) More celebrations with the Jegel Family to come in June...
Brunch/Tea at Tea Elle C Tea Garden
Pedicures at Nail Fix
Happy Birthday!
Honey and Bubba were cruising in Japan for most of April so we celebrated Honey's Birthday in May. Ethan made rice a roni meatballs, Jadyn baked zucchini and made lemon cake from scratch!
More Birthday Fun!
Erik turned 47! Are you sure? Hottest 47 year old I know :)
One of his birthday adventures got postponed to June. Stay tuned :)
His first celebration was at Grama Jean and Papa's on his birthday.
Lamb, rice pilaf and grilled veggies
Don't forget Grama Jean's famous chocolate cake and chocolate ice cream for dessert!
The second celebration was a great excuse to get together with Patrick and Leah. We had dinner at Salt Creek Grille and went axe throwing at MB2. Turns out P is a natural born lumberjack! I lost my mojo and Erik found his when our time was up! Somehow I didn't take a single picture!
Celebration #3 was dinner at Honey and Bubba's. Fried chicken and a slideshow of Honey and Bubba's Japan cruise.
It's not a birthday until Bubba makes you a balloon hat
School is out? WHAT?!
Ethan and Jadyn finished their respective sophomore years with flying colors! Lots of exciting changes coming in the Jegel House over the next few months.
On a more serious note...
This past month my brother, JT, was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease. He spent over a week in the hospital while doctor's tried to figure out his headaches, blurred vision and high blood pressure. After several tests they discovered his kidneys were barely functioning.
The good news is he's dedicated to the new lifestyle changes and doing much better. Everyone is hopeful that he'll be able to put off dialysis until he's able to find a good match for a kidney transplant.
Jare, Meaghan and the boys appreciate all the well wishes and prayers!
