Happy 4th of July!

We started the day with our annual Independence Day 5k! Erik's hip is still healing from the Boise run etc. so Ethan was my running buddy this year! He did great!

Chatted with the Plaza's. Their son Trey ran, he's WAY faster than us!

After a relaxing day we headed to Honey and Bubba's for "taco night", watermelon and fireworks! Checked out a new spot above Magic Mountain this year, not bad :)

Jadyn got her driver's license!

Friday, July 5th Jadyn passed her driver's test! Her first attempt a few weeks earlier was with a crazy, rude "drill instructor" so things didn't go well. Second time's the charm! We celebrated with a trip to Cinnabon :) Her first solo trip was to Color Guard Camp at Golden Valley High.

Happy Belated Father's Day

Saturday, July 6th Erik, Ethan and I took Bubba to "Coffee & Cars" at the Porsche dealership. Who knew it was such a popular event! Over 1000 people and the parking lot is as much of a display as the dealership, Ferrari's, Lamborghini's, Aston Martin's...

We celebrated Alexa (14) and Olivia's (16) birthday's at Grama Jean and Papa's.

Saugus Color Guard Luau

After a full week of camp (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm) the Saugus Guard and their families enjoyed a luau at Castaic Lake.

Ethan Update

Ethan received his final medical clearance and was sworn in for the Air Force on Monday, July 29th! 

The next boot camp/tech training for security forces isn't until late October so he'll be here for a few more months unless something opens up.

Ethan decided to let Jadyn cut his hair... I helped a bit when she was done :)

New Furniture!

Not really blog-worthy with everything going on but we got a new dining room set. Our previous set was 20 years old so I think it was about time :)
