Ethan's 10!
63.5 lbs and 55" tall (4' 7")
It was a birthday extravaganza! We headed to Carlsbad Sunday, the 7th for some beach time, did Legoland on the 8th, stayed at the Legoland Hotel and squeezed in swimming before we headed home. On the 10th we had a birthday dinner at Grama Jean and Papa's and capped it all off with a celebration at Grama Honey and Bubba's house with Tanner, Logan, Uncle Jare and Auntie Meaghan on his actual birthday, September 11th.
Ethan Story:
About a month ago we started talking about what Ethan wanted to do for his 10th birthday. We talked about doing a "video game party" but he decided he just wanted to do a swim party. For lack of a better term Ethan is not partial to change or anything that might be different, even if it's fun. Thanks to one of my co-workers (Rachel) we were given FREE tickets to Legoland and we thought it would be a GREAT plan to take him for his 10th birthday. When we brought it up at dinner this is how it went...
Mommy: "So Ethan if we hit the lotto and were able to go to Legoland would you want to go?"
Ethan: "Not really"
Mommy: " WHAT?! I don't know a 10 year old who wouldn't want to go to Legoland!" "Most kids would be ecstatic to go to Legoland!"
Ethan: Pointing at himself with both thumbs "Not this guy!"
There was a long discussion about missing an opportunity and how most kids never get to go to Legoland... but who says "Not this guy!" to Legoland?!

More Painting...
Have I mentioned I'm sick of painting? Just in case you didn't hear, "I'm over painting." We got the guest room finished last month and started Ethan's room this month. I'll post pictures of Ethan's room when we get a few more things finished.

Torey's Surgery
Monday, September 29th I had my long awaited varicose vein surgery. I waited 7 years but the stars finally aligned and I was able to have "laser stripping" done to my right leg to relieve pain I've been having since being pregnant with Jadyn. The surgery went great and my recovery is going well. I think I might go insane not being able to run for 3-4 weeks though!
