For Erik's Birthday/Father's Day gift he bought an apple computer to start working on making apps for the iphone. He posted his first app this month! It's called Bubble Smack. Check it out if you have an iphone!

Wings for Life Run

Nothing like getting up at 3am Mother's Day to run the streets of Santa Clarita! We did the Wings for Life Run for the second year in a row in honor of a my ex-coworker/friend Allison's husband who was paralyzed in a mountain bike accident the year they got married. The race started at 4am and goes until the pace car catches you. Erik did 12.89km (7 miles) and I went a little further than last year and hit 19.65km (12 miles).

Mother's Day
After a shower and quick nap we joined everyone at Jean and Carl's for margaritas, Mexican train, swimming and Stonefire.
Mom and I did our annual Mother's Day Breakfast at Eggs n Things followed by a lovely walk around Bridgeport on Monday, May 9th.

Arroyo Seco Family Night
Tuesday, May 17th we toured Arroyo Seco Jr. High where Ethan is going to be starting 7th grade in August! We checked out a few classrooms, the gym, locker rooms, watched the band perform and wandered the campus with Grama Jean, Papa and Jadyn. After we met Erik and Uncle Kurt for dinner at In n Out (Ethan's choice). Ethan acts as though starting junior high doesn't phase him but we know better. Although, I think I'm more nervous than he is :)

Emblem Open House
Thursday, May 19th was Open House at Emblem Academy. We toured the kids classrooms and took the kids to Chi Chi's Pizza for the first time. They were pretty wiped out but I think they are Chi Chi's fans.

Erik's 39th Birthday 

Erik turned 39 on May 23rd. It was week of birthday eating! Monday, we walked the kids to school, I made breakfast, we had massages at White Orchid and dinner at La Cocina. Erik took Tuesday off and smoked ribs for dinner! Have I mentioned he makes the BEST ribs?! Wednesday they had Stonefire for his birthday lunch at work and Friday we had another birthday dinner at Jean and Carl's.

Emblem Expo
The six the grade class works in groups to sell a product they design. Ethan's group (Trey, Josh and Gavin) built small boxes of supplies (crayon, paperclips, pencil sharpeners). They had an Expo for family and friends the night before they went to sale to the school.
