June 16'

Jadyn's Recital
Sunday, June 5th was Jadyn's dance recital at Glendale High School. Her jazz class danced to "Cotton Eyed Joe." Jadyn picked IHOP for dinner, chicken and waffles :) She must get her exquisite taste in food from her parents.

She's on the far left :)

Ethan's Last Week of Elementary School / Graduation
Ethan had a very busy last 2 weeks of school. VT Ranch, Greek Day, The Getty Villa, Staff Kickball Game and of course Graduation! Ethan's Graduation was Friday, June 10th followed by a short reception in the MPR and then we had brunch at Mimi's Cafe.
Greek Day: Grama Jean made his awesome toga!
Graduation Day: He would have worn a tux if we let him :)

Love this one :)

Hockey / Softball
Erik is still playing hockey pretty much year round. They are in the middle of the spring/summer season and in the middle of the pack.
The Almost Good summer softball season started on Sunday, June 12th. We had two games and came up short, losing by 1 in both!

Texas
Tuesday, June 14th we left for Weatherford, Texas to visit my grandma, dad and Kathy. Our flight was delayed about 2 hours so with the time change we got to my dad and Kathy's just before 4am. Needless to say we were all pretty wiped-out!

Wednesday, June 15th the kids slept in and discovered that Tanner and Logan were there :) Kathy made delicious biscuits and gravy, the kids swam and we visited Great Grama and Pumpkin (her dog) at her house. My dad barbecued steaks for dinner and my cousin, Tonya, (who I haven't seen in over 30 years) was able to join us since she was in town for work. So great to catch up!
Morning they realized Tanner and Logan are there :)

Grandpa Texas got the kids their own special flavors of ice cream for dessert.

Thursday, June 16th the kids swam and played computer games all day. My grandma, Kathy's mom, sister and brother all joined us for hamburgers and hot dogs in the afternoon. The adults lounged by the pool and played some poker after our late lunch.
Poker, I think?
Grama tried to sneak away but we got her in a few pictures :)

Friday, June 17th we went to Hole-in-Fun. We played glow golf, played all kinds of games and the kids and adults tried out the Spin Zone. Jare, Meaghan and the boys left after lunch to catch their flight back home so Tanner and Logan could play in the their weekend baseball tournaments.
Uncle Jare beating the high score... Kids ended up with a lot of tickets:)

Saturday, June 18th Dad and Kathy treated us to "Finding Dory" and Great Grama met us for lunch at China Harbor. After lunch we went back to my grandma's house and went through some old family pictures. Somewhere in the day we fit in a few games of Apples to Apples, the kids got to drive the golf cart and Erik and I took a few walks.

Father's Day
We flew into LAX on Sunday morning, unpacked a little, grabbed a few things and headed out the door for the Father's Day celebration at Grama Jean and Papa's. Carl barbecued steaks, the kids swam and we watched movies all afternoon before dinner and then Erik had to head out for a hockey game.

Finally back home. Beautiful sunset.

We were all pretty wiped out but we celebrated a late Father's Day for Erik on Monday. The kids served as waiter/waitress and helped cook breakfast. After breakfast we had put together a scavenger hunt for his Father's Day gifts.
