April 17'

Spring Break
The kids had spring break April 3rd through the 7th. We started the week with a girls (Grama Honey, Jadyn and I) summer clothes shopping day. Ethan's not much of a shopper so I got all his summer clothes in one trip to Wal-Mart on my lunch break and he was happy :).

 One of Jadyn's favorite stores, H & M.
Don't ask what kind of faces we're making?!

Tuesday we used our season passes to Universal Studios to get in a few rides before and after hitting the movie theater to see Beauty and the Beast.
Erik titled this one, "Family Reunion"
Awesome recliners in the AMC Theater!
I guess this is why Junior Mints and popcorn cost $12!

Open House
Grama Honey and Bubba took Ethan and Jadyn to Ethan's Open House since Erik and I had Salsa class (yes, Salsa dancing but more about that later).

Easter
The Easter Bunny came! After the egg hunt, breakfast, making 3 dozen deviled eggs, and collecting flowers for Easter bouquets we headed to Grama Jean and Papa's house. There was a big group this year. In addition to all our usual's Marga, Thiery, Betty, Dick, Scott, Chloe and Logan joined us. The adults played Sequence while the kids did their scavenger hunt and played all afternoon.

Heather, Scott, Sharon Ann, Dick, Betty, Jean, Carl
Marga, Thiery, Kurt, Brian, Erik and Torey

Jadyn Got Glasses!
Jadyn told us she was having trouble seeing the board so we took her to get her eyes checked and sure enough she is far-sighted just like her mom and dad were at 9 years old. Super Cute!

Salsa Lessons
Erik and I decided to take a "parks n rec" salsa class on Thursday nights. Other than the instructor Erik was the only guy man enough to sign up so he danced with all 8-10 ladies every week!
We were missing a few at the last class.
Our instructor Lionel is the one on the far right.

Grama Honey's Birthday
We celebrated Grama Honey Birthday with Panda Express, cake (we made it fresh from the box) and ice cream on our Wednesday dinner night.
Her gift had all the necessities. Grande Marnier, a book, and lots of dark chocolate!

Backyard
Erik's been planting away in our backyard over the past year and things are starting to bloom! He planted a bunch of boxwood's, an apple tree, a nectarine tree and several roses.

Magic Castle
To celebrate our friend Bart's 40th birthday we were invited to the Magic Castle! The ride (stretch Cadillac Escalade), dinner, shows and company all made for a great night, but I think one of the highlights was Erik's "pit-stop" on the way down. One minute we was knocking on the window to talk to the driver and the next he was running down Highland Ave. towards the Best Western Plaza Hollywood Inn looking for a bathroom :)
