Home Tour
Saturday, December 1st we started the Christmas season! Jadyn, Jean and I (apparently going on a Caribbean cruise takes priority for Grama Honey :)) attended the Henry Mayo Holiday Home Tour. It's Jadyn's second year and I can't remember how many years Jean and I have been going! The 4 homes in Stevenson Ranch and Westridge were all well done this year. It was a little cold but always fun to check out the houses and see all the decorating ideas!
Enjoying our crepes at Crepes de Paris after the tour.
Teppan with the Stotts Clan
Grandpa Texas came into town the end of November to spend some time with the grand kids. We all got together in Porter Ranch for Teppan while "making the grandparent exchange". Reminds Jare and I of being "exchanged" under freeway overpasses when we were young :)
Kids are mesmerized by the fire.
Logan isn't so sure about trying shrimp but Ethan said it was good ;)
Erik's hockey game
Bubba missed the car show with me for the first time in 10 years, these cruising people need to get their priorities straight :) It worked out great that my dad was in town so we enjoyed the car show and lunch at Bob's Big Boy in Burbank.
Dad chatting it up with the Cadillac lady :)
Acura NSX, always a favorite
Lexus ES Sport. My car after the kids are out of the house.

The Fall semester at COC came to an end. I had a fun group this semester and will miss them but I'm happy for the break from working 2 jobs :)
Erik is going back to school!
As my "school year" is ending Erik is just beginning! Erik has decided to go back to school (online) to finish his Bachelors Degree! He starts his first class as a Junior at Columbia Southern University in January. It's going to be a lot with us both working but it's very exciting!
KB Christmas Party at the Magic Castle
Thursday, December 6th was the KB Home Christmas Party at the Magic Castle.
Good food and company, best KB Christmas Party yet thanks to Jessica (marketing manager).

Christmas Eve Brunch / Dinner / Church
We started the day with a walk in the beautiful weather and followed by brunch at Grama Jean and Papa's. Always yummy! Olivia and Alexa opened their gift and the kids played while Erik and I headed back to the house to start Christmas Eve Dinner.
After a round of Hedbanz, Sequence and watching Home Alone we had brisket, stuffed potatoes (my first attempt, they were edible!), asparagus, carrots and rolls. After dinner we opened gifts and met Honey and Bubba at Yum Yum for donuts before the 11pm service at First Christian Church of North Hollywood. We got home a little before 1am so everyone was wiped out after the fun-filled day.
Smore's on Christmas Eve Eve. Jessica at work makes the marshmallows!

Sequence, the girls won!
Nice hat Jadyn. I think that's for Kaylee, her American Girl doll.

Merry Christmas
We got up around 8am and took our time including the kids in the "gift rotation/taking turns opening" rather than ripping through everything in 30 seconds. It was much more relaxing and the kids seem to enjoy it too :) Between Santa gifts and "parent gifts" we took a break for breakfast (cinnamon rolls, cheesy eggs and bacon). Ethan got a cell phone, a new tennis racket along with his favorites, socks, underwear and clothes. Jadyn got a Unikitty Lego set and socks, underwear and clothes as well.
Old man Ethan, "what could this be?" Heeman or new tennis racket?

Happy 11th Birthday Jadyn
58" and 70 lbs
Happy birthday to our silly, happy girl! She loves any baby animal but especially kittens and llamas! She loves 5th grade and her teacher Mrs. Tomei (who has British Thursday's). She's doing great in school but of course is too quiet, in class. She saves it all up for at home!
Party #1 was at Honey and Bubba's on Thursday the 27th. Tanner and Logan joined the fun since they were spending the night. We had "Santa Barbara Sandwiches", Mississippi Mud Pie ice cream and cookies.
Ethan just missed being in the picture off to the left :)
Party #2 was a llama themed sleepover on the 28th with Jadyn's friends Grace, Riley, Addie and Lillian. They jumped on the trampoline in the freezing cold, played hide n seek, Apples to Apples, watched Wonder, played Mario Kart had a few bad dreams at 1am and someone lost a tooth!
Mac n Cheese, mini tacos, fruit, confetti buntini's, ice cream and cinnamon rolls and eggs for breakfast!
Everyone but Grace trying to hide from the camera :)
Lillian, Riley, Jadyn, Grace and Addie
Party #3 was January 3rd at Grama Jean and Papa's. More presents, Papa's spaghetti and Grama Jean's chocolate chip cookies and ice cream! We might never recover from the holiday sugar coma!
Happy New Year!
We rang in the New Year with the Leclair Family. A few drinks, pizza, lots of junk food and games. We played Sets, Pandemic and Sushi Go while the kids jumped on the trampoline
and watched How to Train Your Dragon 2 and stayed up until midnight! The kids went to bed at 1:30am and we were right behind them at 2am.
Pandemic... Come again? Good thing it was a team game, we lost :)
