June 14'

Jadyn's "ALL PILLARS" Award
Jadyn's teacher always tells us how great she is in class and on June 3rd she got the "All Pillars" Award! Each month the school has a character pillar (trustworthiness, respect, caring, citizenship, fairness, responsibility) that they work on and give a monthly award to a student for but Jadyn got the award for being a good example of ALL the character pillars! So proud of her :)

Jadyn's June Recital
Jadyn had her summer recital on June 8th. They were the second to last dance in a 2 hour show and danced to Zippity Do Da. Always worth the wait but 2 hours is a long time for all those kids to wait!

Ethan's Class Play
Erik and I both missed his play this year due to work :( but Grama Honey and Bubba were able to make it!
He spelled his middle name wrong :) (Mekhi)
Ethan (merchant) and his buddy Cade (robber).

School is OUT!
Hard to believe Ethan finished the 4th grade and Jadyn finished Kindergarten.
They both got great report cards. Ethan finished the year with all A's and one B! Jadyn got all "O's" and "G's".
End of the year parties included ice cream, PJ/Movie day, water fights, game day... Doesn't sound like school at all!
Ethan and his teacher, Mr. Devore. His favorite teacher so far and he's had a lot of good ones!
End of the school year celebration at Lazy Dog Cafe.
Happy Father's Day
Happy Father's Day indeed! Most people are lucky to have one good father in their life but I have 4! My dad, Bubba, Papa and of course Erik! Erik is the best dad to our two crazy munchkins. They love him to pieces and so do I.
I made breakfast in the morning (pancakes, bacon, sausage eggs and hot chocolate for the kids) before we headed to Grama Jean and Papa's House for barbecue and swimming. We ate so many hors d'oeuvres we could hardly eat the ribs for dinner and applesauce cake (Papa's favorite) for dessert!

Summer Sports
The summer softball season officially started. Erik won't be able to play much this year since most of his hockey games are on Sunday this season but he made the first double header. We managed to win both games and ended up 5-0 for June! I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't see it for myself!
Erik's hockey team has been doing great too. They started the season 8-0 but lost a few this month. Erik did his Jonathan Quick impersonation and had 2 shut outs to start the season!

Martial Arts
Ethan and Jadyn both started Tae Kwan Do at Iron Fist this month. Ethan wasn't too thrilled with the idea and we decided to start Jadyn at the last minute but they are in the same class and really love it!

Work
Erik was officially name the department lead at Ignisis. It's been a longtime coming to say the least but he's looking forward to the new challenge and making some good improvements. It's truly amazing how much he has grown and learned over the past 11 years with the company.
Check out his picture on the company website :)  http://www.ignisis.co/why-ignisis

My job has changed a bit in the last 2 months. I'm commuting to Playa Vista (down the 405) 2 days a week for a new condo and single family home community KB opened. The drive is not fun and it's been "crazy" (AKA a disaster) but it's getting better and it's nice to work on something new. There's something new every week and we get to drive a golf cart back and forth between the 2 communities :)
