Olivia and Alexa's Birthday
Sunday, July 3rd we celebrated Olivia (8) and Alexa's (6) birthday's with a family swim party at Papa and Grama Jean's House. 

4th of July
We started the day early at the annual Independence Day Classic in Newhall. I ran the 10k at 7am. Erik, the kids and I ran/walked the 5k at 8am.

After showers and some rest we went to Dodger Stadium for the game (they won 7-5) and fireworks.

Summer

The kids have been enjoying their time off. Play dates with friends, video games, swimming, time at the park, movies, spending the night at the grandparents etc. Sunday, July 17th we spent a few hours at Mountasia. Ethan drove his own cart for the first time and Jadyn rode with Erik. 

Ethan's getting pretty good. After he beat Jadyn he beat me!

The Sand Fire 

July 21st the Sand Fire started. We had a hand full of friends evacuated and it was pretty scary for for a few days since it was so dry, hot and the winds kept shifting. A few homes were lost but it could have been much worse. These are a few pictures from our house. 

Chris Came to Visit!

My friend Chris stayed with us while she was in town for her 20 year high school reunion. Great to see her and catch up! We really need to get together more than once every 7 years!
