July 17'

Happy 4th of July!
We started the day with our annual Independence Day 5k at Newhall Park. The kids "ran" together this year.
Torey: 25:51 (3rd Place in Female 35-39)
Erik: 27:32
Ethan: 41:08
Jadyn: 41:24

 Our dedicated cheering section
Grama Jean and Papa left right before the photographer took our pic :(
Don't let them fool you, they walked most of the race :)

After the run we had a jump n slide delivered! The kids didn't know it was coming... Jadyn saw the truck pull up out front from her window :) They spent the next 6 hours jumping and sliding down the water slide! Honey, Bubba, Meaghan, Tanner and Logan joined us in the afternoon. It was a good thing we opted for the water slide, it was the only way to stay cool in the 103 degree temps! By dinner it cooled down a bit and we were able to eat outside. Erik smoked ribs, Honey brought fruit and potato salad and the kids made cupcakes! (I ate myself into a food coma)

Kart Camp
Ethan got to attend a 3-day Go-Kart Camp at MB2 in Sylmar with his buddies Cade and Ethan L. Can't thank Vera and Angee enough for doing all the pick-up and drop-off duties!

KB Review
The past year has been a rough one and very busy but the work environment is much better than it was a  year ago and my review went well. Rachel (my coworker/friend) and I were both made Senior Studio Consultants (FINALLY)! Nice to get the title for the job we've been doing for over 3 years and a bit of a raise:) I was I can't believe I've been there over 6 years!

Yap Weekend
It was just me from the "youngins' group" this year. My friend Leah was home with Patrick who just had surgery and Jessica was watching the Leclair kids after recently getting home from a family vacation. Leah and I usually tack on an extra day before to shop but this year was a quick Friday-Sunday event. It was fabulous as usual, only wish it was longer! I got a lot done for the upcoming Interior Design 101A class I'm teaching in the Fall.
